The added benefits of the Bluetooth connectivity for two cell phones is awesome. When I get home, I turn off my BT headset, and when I walk into the house, by the time I get to the first handset in the kitchen, it is already connected. I use the second BT connection for friends when they visit and they love it! The Voice Announce Caller ID is flawless and a very nice feature. I used to have to remember to bring my cell phone into the bedroom at night when I am on-call for work, but now I can just leave it in the charger and the VTech rings if I get a call. I use voicemail, so I can't speak to the digital answering machine since I don't use it, but I'd have to bet it is as sweet as the rest of the features, like the handset to handset intercom and the many configurable settings like separate ringtones for each handset, and different ringtones for when the call is from a cell phone, plus other settings that... I debated between this phone and the Panasonic with bluetooth and the main reason I bought this over the Panasonic is because you can be on a landline call and someone else in the house can use another handset to be on a cell phone. The sound seemed to have excess noise when I first got it, but I don't notice that anymore. I can't tell if that was a deficiency in the phone or "HD Audio". But now it sounds great so I think the HD Audio works well. Having the ability to be on two phone calls at once is very nice for my wife and I since cell phone reception has bad spots in the house, and now we don't need to worry about that. When the cell phones get about 20 feet away in another room, the reception gets a little fuzzy. But the phones connect to the unit by the time I get in the house from the car, so the bluetooth has very good range.
